Smashing Pink is Europe’s first and the world’s largest LGBTI+ tennis club!
Smashing Pink was founded in 1996 as a follow-up on the participation in the 1994 Gay Games in New York by a group of gay and lesbian tennis enthusiasts. We are an official club of the Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association (KNLTB). We have approximately 275 club members covering all the different gender and sexual identities and nationalities from all over the world.

Full Membership fee: €240,-

Our outdoor season is from April through September.

(After July 1st: €122,- and after August 1st: € 80,- for the rest of the season. Our outdoor season is from April through September.

Youth Membership fee: €122,- (after July 1st: € 61,-)

Procedure introducé

• Als SP-lid kun je iemand introduceren die geen lid is, om mee te tennissen. Reserveren met een introducé kan zowel via de website als via de ClubApp.
• De kosten per introducé zijn €10,-- en kunnen alleen en direct bij de reservering betaald worden met iDeal.
• Kies aantal spelers en een tijdslot. Klik vervolgens op spelers selecteren. Bovenaan staat Introducé. Selecteer degene die meespeelt of kies introducé.
• Na selectie zie je meteen je betalingsoverzicht afhankelijk of je 1 of 2 introducees hebt geselecteerd.
• Klik op 'volgende' en vervolgens op 'reserveren en betalen'. Je wordt nu doorgeleid naar je iDeal betaling. Pas daarna is je reservering gemaakt.
• Je kan niet daarna nog je medespelers wijzigen maar je kunt wel je bestelling ten allen tijde annuleren. Je betaling wordt dan binnen 1 of 2 dagen teruggestort.

Procedure introducing guest players

• As a member of Smashing Pink you can introduce guests to play with on our courts. A reservation with an introducé can be made on the website or ClubApp.
• Each guest introduction cost €10,-- and can directly and only be paid with iDeal.
• Choose amount of players and time. Click 'spelers selecteren'. On top you see Introducé. Select your members partner or introducé.
• After selection you see your order depending on your choice for 1 or 2 introducees.
• Click 'volgende' and then click 'reserveren en betalen'. Now you will be forwarded to the iDeal payment. Only after that you're reservation is made.
• You can not change selection of players afterwards but you can cancel your order anytime. The payment will be booked back to your account within 1 or 2 days.

Smashing Pink organizes many activities:

• KNLTB competition (Spring competition: April-May-June and Fall competition: September-October). Questions? Mail the Competition Committee.
• Internal Competition (4 Saturdays in June & July). Beginners levels: 8/9. Questions? Please send an email to Internal Club competition.
• Weekly evening tennis toss event on Mondays and Fridays from 6-10pm (April through September).
• Weekly morning tennis toss event on Mondays (beginners), Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-12am (April through September).
• Pinkster Tournament (during Pentacost), our yearly GLTA Masters event.
• Gay Pride Toss for members and non-members (last Friday of the Pride Week before the Canal Parade).
• Club Championships (August/September) Questions? Please send an email to Clubkampioenschappen.
• Winter tennis toss evenings on 3-5 Saturdays during the winter season for members and non-members. These events will be announced through our newsletter that all members receive.

Tennis lessons

If you're a full Smashing Pink member and you're interested in taking tennis lessons, just send an email to training@smashing.pink and we'll contact you about the availability and the costs.

Venue and opening hours

Smashing Pink has access to 3 outdoor gravel courts (10, 11 and 12) on the premises of Tennis Club Amstelpark. During toss activities we can even play on 4 or 5 gravel courts. Amstelpark is open daily from 8am-11pm. In the winter period (October through March) the outdoor courts are open until 10pm.

Tennis Club Amstelpark has 21 outdoor gravel courts (red clay), 11 indoor hard courts and 4 padel courts. It offers a large restaurant with hot and cold meals and snacks. There is a tennis shop and there's free WiFi. The venue has a fitness, spa & pool and plenty of parking and offers massages as well. The facilities also include a hotel and Spa Zuiver.
